Press Release #52, Nov 7, 2010: Behnam Ebrahim-zadeh still in jail since June!
Behnam Ebrahim/zadeh, a well known labour and children’s rights activist was arrested on June 2010, was beaten savagely upon arrest, tortured and left with broken ribs and arm uncared for. He has not been charged with any crime, yet a huge bail was set for his release. Despite the fact that bail was raised by Behnam’s family the authorities have refused to release him.Behnam is one of tens of labour activists in the Islamic Republics torture pits. We demand Behnam and all other jailed labour activist as well as all thousands of other political prisoners unconditional release.

بنا به گزارش دريافتي بهنام ابراهیم زاده فعال كارگري و دفاع از حقوق كودك بعد از ٤ ماه بازداشت از روز شنبه ١٧ مهر به بند عمومی ٣٥٠ زندان اوین منتقل شده است. او ٧ مهر بود كه در اعتراض به تداوم بازداشت خود و فشار و شکنجه دايم در زندان دست به اعتصاب غذا زد و بعد از دوازده روز اعتصاب دچار خونريزي معده گرديد. بهنام به درخواست خانواده و دوستدارنش بعد از انتقال به بند عمومي ٣٥٠ به اعتصاب غذای خود پایان داد و هم اکنون در بهداری زندان اوين در وضعيت جسمي بدي بسر ميبرد

روز ١٧ مهر رضا شهابی عضو هیات مدیره سندیکای شرکت واحد از زندان اوین به دادسرای انقلاب اسلامي منتقل و برای آزادی وي قرار وثیقه ٦٠ ميليون تومان تعيين شد. او در تماس تلفني با خانواده اش اطلاع داده بود كه روز يكشنبه ١٨ مهر براي تحويل وثيقه تعيين شده و آزادي وي اقدام كنند. روز گذشته به ما گزارش شد که ایشان از زندان آزاد شده اند. اما بدنبال خبر دقيق بعدي و بنا به تکذیبیه سندیکای شرکت واحد، متاسفانه مطلع شديم كه علیرغم تحويل وثيقه تعيين شده و عليرغم اینکه دو روز است خانواده او و همکارانش برای استقبال از ايشان به زندان اوين مراجعه میکنند، اما رضا شهابي هنوز آزاد نشده و همچنان در بازداشت بسر ميبرد

It is now four month since Behnam was arrested. His bail was set for $100000
Despite it is a month since this huge amount was raised, the authorities have refused to release him. In protest against the constant physical as well as psychological pressure and uncertainty regarding his case, Behnam has gone on hunger strike. We need all hands on deck to put pressure on Islamic regime to release this well known, much loved labour, children rights activist.
Behnam has been on hunger #STRIKE for 12 days now!
در اطلاعيه شماره قبل خبر داديم كه بهنام ابراهيم زاده فعال كارگری و فعال دفاع از حقوق كودك دست به اعتصابغذا زده است. اكنون دوازده روز است كه او در اعتصاب بسر ميبرد و امروز باخبر شديم كه وي را از بند انفرادی به بند ٣٥٠ اوين، بند عمومی انتقال داده اند و بخاطر اعتصاب غذا دچار خونريزی معده شده است. نياز به اقدامی عاجل است
