Long Live the Iranian People’s Revolution!
A year has passed since the start of the Iranian people’s revolution. It began in the last week of June 2009 with the coming out of millions of masses in Tehran; and it continues. This is a revolution against poverty, deprivation, absolute oppression, imprisonment, torture and rape, execution, pervasive sexual apartheid against women as official second-class citizens, and so on. It is against a medieval backward religious state that is opposed to all joy and happiness – indeed, to life itself.
This revolution is daily becoming deepened and radicalised. It is a revolution for freedom and equality. It is a humanist revolution for a humanist state. It must triumph for the sake of all humanity. It is, therefore, worthy of the earnest support by the people of the world.
